Article Processing Charges (APC)

Asian Herpetologist is an open-access (CC BY) journal, ensuring that all published articles are freely available to readers worldwide without subscription barriers. To support high-quality editorial processes, peer review, indexing, long-term archiving, and journal maintenance, an Article Processing Charge (APC) is applied only to accepted manuscripts.

The APC structure is designed to remain accessible to researchers across Asia:

• Standard APC: USD 50 per accepted article

• AHA Members: Full APC waiver

• Institutional Members: Full waiver for all affiliated authors

• Students from Asian institutions: Eligible for waiver or partial discount

• Authors without funding: May request a fee reduction or full waiver

Waivers are considered to ensure that financial limitations do not restrict publication of high-quality scientific work.

APC payment is requested only after peer-review acceptance. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on scientific merit, independent of the authors’ ability to pay.
