Commission Membership (Annual)

The AHA Commission Membership provides access to a continent-spanning professional network of herpetologists, early-career scientists, and regional experts working across Asia. Commission Members serve as the operational and leadership core of the Asian Herpetological Association, shaping scientific direction, strengthening regional collaboration, and supporting capacity building across 49 Asian countries. Membership includes full integration into the Union of Asian Herpetologists, the central collaborative platform linking researchers, institutions, national chapters, and the broader herpetology.asia ecosystem.

• Voting Power & Leadership Roles
Commission Membership grants full voting rights within the AHA governance structure, enabling members to influence strategic decisions, elect representatives, and shape continental initiatives. Members may also lead regional chapters and coordinate scientific, educational, and conservation events — including the privilege to host and organize ACH and other AHA-led events, workshops, and training programs.

• Eligibility to Serve as Subject Editors & Reviewers
Commission Members are eligible for appointment as Subject Editors and Peer Reviewers for the Asian Herpetologist journal, contributing directly to the scientific quality, editorial leadership, and strategic growth of the publication.

• Full APC Waiver
Commission members receive a complete waiver of Article Processing Charges (APC) for publications in the Asian Herpetologist journal.

• Eligibility for AHA Research Grants

• Eligibility for Full MSc/PhD Scholarships
Commission members may apply for fully funded postgraduate scholarship opportunities administered or endorsed by the AHA.
